Nearly half a million babies (1 in 10) are born premature in the US each year which is higher than that of most other developed nations. This is the journeys of our first born son, Finnegan, who was born 14 weeks early and weighed only 1 pound 15 ounces at birth. Of our daugher, Korrigan, who was born a healthy 7 pounds, 7 ounces at 37 weeks. And of our second son, MacKeegan, who was also born at 37 weeks at a whopping 8 pounds, 13 ounces. Our continued adventures reminds us daily how good God is.

Wenatchee or Bust - Day 7

Start: Holiday Inn Express, Wenatchee, WA
End: Nana and Papa's, East Wenatchee, WA via Rocky Reach Dam
Total miles: 19 miles, approx

We finally didn't have to travel today! We had a slow morning and then headed to the Rocky Reach Discovery Center at the Rocky Reach Dam, which was super fun, albeit very loud!

We LOVED the fish viewing area! The fish aren't very active this time of year, but we still saw some coming and going and it was fun to try to find them. In fact, we went there first and on the way out, we all wanted to see it again, so we went back!

Then we headed across the bridge to the museum.

So much to see at the museum! The thing Jim remembered doing when he was a kid was creating electricity by turning a wheel and they still had it! So we all tried. It was harder than it looked!

It was so loud in that area!! Finn and I had to leave. Then we headed to the rest of the museum which featured a lot of Native American history and industrial revolution history. We were like kids in a candy store if the kids were nerds and the candy store was a...well...museum!!! LOL

I had to record it for history that not only did Finn hold my hand...but he ASKED to hold my hand! Made my day. After the Discovery Center, there was a park on the way out, so we just play in the old fashioned way!

And just like that, it was lunch time. We went to Dusty's In-N-Out, a perpetual favorite of Jim's and it did not disappoint. Think old school diner, meets old filling station, meets A&W. So good. We decided to take a little break and head to the hotel for swimming, working out and resting. Finn even worked out with me for a bit, which was really fun. He liked the elliptical!

After hotel time, the kiddos and I spent some time with Nana and Papa at their house while Emma, Debbie and Jim went shopping at Costco for dinner. Then we all headed over to Debbie's for Patio Time and dinner! Such a great evening, even if there was a disagreement about how committed Sasha was to ice skating! See, even from Oregon, she still is involved!

Gotta love family time. Emma braided hair. Porter refused to play fetch with anybody but Debbie or Sonia. The wind was crazy strong. Emma was Jim's sou chef for dinner and did a great job. And after some finagling, we all managed to fit around the makeshift table! Great evening.

Sorry I didn't post last night. I literally got back to the hotel, started blogging and went to sleep at 8:45pm!!! Might have partly been the wine but also all the activity, I'm sure. Here's to another family filled day tomorrow.
