Nearly half a million babies (1 in 10) are born premature in the US each year which is higher than that of most other developed nations. This is the journeys of our first born son, Finnegan, who was born 14 weeks early and weighed only 1 pound 15 ounces at birth. Of our daugher, Korrigan, who was born a healthy 7 pounds, 7 ounces at 37 weeks. And of our second son, MacKeegan, who was also born at 37 weeks at a whopping 8 pounds, 13 ounces. Our continued adventures reminds us daily how good God is.

Pictures
In case anybody is interested, I just uploaded pictures on our picture website (link on the right hand side). It is mainly pictures from Christmas, my 24 week preggo pic (much bigger than I am now!) and pics from the hospital. I didn't have energy to add captions, but will get to that eventually.

Dear Jim. Stacy, and TJ,
Just got done reading all the past week plus of the blog and the comments! How wonderful to see all the people you have praying for you! Stacy, you are so right that prayer has made the difference! Keep that in mind always - it will be able to carry you through all the times - good or not so good - that are to come! Jim, you are doing a great job of writing! Your humor shows through in spite of the difficulties! What a delight to see that come through!
TJ - Memere loves you so much! Just stay put and keep growing! We do want to meet you - just not for awhile yet! (Stacy, would you please ask your friend Stacy how her grandmother spelled that nickname and ask if it's ok if I borrow it? Thanks)
Well - it's late and I have school tomorrow! Don't feel that you need to do anything wild and crazy to get me back there sooner - Love to see you, but love to see things stay "bland" for a longer period of time! Love you lots and lots!
Good afternoon Stacy, Jim and TJ. I wrote earlier today, however Nana says it never got sent. I have no idea what I did wrong so will try again. Technology is nice, when it works. I think TJ will be the name forever in my book of life. I wait to hear what you will officially name him.
Yesterday, as Nana was lighting a candle for you I happened to be sitting next to an OB nurse specialist and she raised her thumb and went "YES". You do indeed have many folk you do not know praying for you and cheering you all on. One of them is my former colleague Lynne Fitch who is expecting here first Grand soon. She has asked sever times for up dated reports.
Jim, you are so correct, you are learning things during this experience that will change your attitudes and opinions about life and it's challenges forever. You will also look at other folks circumstances through very different eyes. Stacy will also see life through very different eyes. We are so thankful for each day and all the great reports you send. It sure makes us feel far less distant and helps us to feel like we can be more supportive as well as informed.
Yesterday as we watched the Vikings game we kept saying, "hope Stacy is staying calm". Since we have not hear otherwise today we assume all is well.
Nana recieved word today that she will have her back surgery this coming Thur. We expect that will help relieve some of the pain in her back and leg.
Dave and Molly are in Portland looking at Hospitals and schools. We will be interested in their impressions. However, Dave commented that he didn't know the NW could get this cold so maybe he needed look at AZ. Who knows he could be anywhere before his training is over.
Well, this is perhaps long enough, now I'll see if I can really send it. Blessings and love to all and upon all the folk who care for you.
Love, Papa
Quiet on the blog-front...hope that's not news!!!
Put new photos of Q on our blog if you need a smile...
Jim & Stacy -
We are following Finn's progress and rejoice with you on the weight gain, etc.. We pray his eye situation will work itself out. We have a grand niece who was born at 14 oz. and she had to have that eye surgery and will be a teenager in '09!! MIRACLES!!?
We are praying for your mom also - I have worked with her for years in Science 8. We are praying for recovery and for doctors wisdom in what lies ahead for her. Please greet her for us.
Sincerely,
Steve, Karen & Gwen Thayer
