Nearly half a million babies (1 in 10) are born premature in the US each year which is higher than that of most other developed nations. This is the journeys of our first born son, Finnegan, who was born 14 weeks early and weighed only 1 pound 15 ounces at birth. Of our daugher, Korrigan, who was born a healthy 7 pounds, 7 ounces at 37 weeks. And of our second son, MacKeegan, who was also born at 37 weeks at a whopping 8 pounds, 13 ounces. Our continued adventures reminds us daily how good God is.

New do!

We've had problems with Korri keeping her hair clean and brushed. I mean, first, she's seven, which is still probably a little young to have full responsibility over it. And second, I feel like it is a never ending fight with her, which just isn't worth it to any of us. The last few weeks, she seemed open to cutting it and then we agreed she'd talk to Auntie NaeNae about it after her recital (I mean, we HAD to fit it in a bun for the recital!). So at dinner last night, she asked Auntie and they made a plan to do it when we got back to our house after dinner! We were all super excited.

Before:

Korri decided she wanted hers to look just like Auntie's, which was perfect in my mind.

She ended up cutting about 10 inches off! And Korri LOVED it, as did all of us.

After:

And then she put a headband in:

A. Dor. A. Ble!! Then I conned Finn into a cut as well (or at least told him it would be super hot at baseball on Monday if his hair was long...truth!). So handsome:

Busy but productive day! Thank you, Auntie, for the hair cuts! The birds in our back yard should be happy with all the hair to build their nests with.
