Yesterday, the kids got to have a "Daddy Day" while I got to have lunch with friends from high school. Jim took the kids to the Mall of America and Underwater World (or whatever it is called now)!
I think he thought it would be a good way to spend the time, but I thought it sounded like a lot of work. I guess all went well, other than that mall being a complete zoo.
I met Holly and Heidi in St. Cloud at Olive Garden. It was so nice to catch up...not so nice to realize how old we've somehow become. Hmmm... It is amazing that it's been...ummm...TWELVE years since high school, yet the minute we got together, it was like old time. Love that. We got there at 1 and I didn't leave until almost 5:30! What could we possibly have talked about for that long? Who knows but trust me, there was never a lull in conversation. We're hoping to get together twice a year but bring all the kiddos in the summer for a play date. Can't wait!
Then last night was Grace's birthday party, which Jim brought the kids to and I was able to meet them there later. It worked out great and the kids had a blast. We didn't get home until TEN (yikes!), but the kids really did well and bedtime was a snap. I think they were both sleeping within two minutes of being put in bed. No, we are not moving regular bedtime to 10, regardless of how easy it was!!
This morning, I gave Finn my old point-and-shoot camera and let him loose to take pictures. Here are a few!
He actually took a few good ones and LOTS of his fingers, the floor and the couch. This last one is very "Blair Witch."

Nearly half a million babies (1 in 10) are born premature in the US each year which is higher than that of most other developed nations. This is the journeys of our first born son, Finnegan, who was born 14 weeks early and weighed only 1 pound 15 ounces at birth. Of our daugher, Korrigan, who was born a healthy 7 pounds, 7 ounces at 37 weeks. And of our second son, MacKeegan, who was also born at 37 weeks at a whopping 8 pounds, 13 ounces. Our continued adventures reminds us daily how good God is.
