Nearly half a million babies (1 in 10) are born premature in the US each year which is higher than that of most other developed nations. This is the journeys of our first born son, Finnegan, who was born 14 weeks early and weighed only 1 pound 15 ounces at birth. Of our daugher, Korrigan, who was born a healthy 7 pounds, 7 ounces at 37 weeks. And of our second son, MacKeegan, who was also born at 37 weeks at a whopping 8 pounds, 13 ounces. Our continued adventures reminds us daily how good God is.

Big Dreams

Last night, we had the honor of going to Finn's Kindergarten spring concert! The theme was "Big Dreams" and all of the songs focused on "possibilities" and "learning a lot." This was a first for our family and it could not have been cuter. Grandma, Memere, NeNe and Uncle Les all came to watch as well. I think Finn loved all the attention, as he should.

The whole program lasted about 45 minutes and included group songs with all three classes, one song from each class that they only performed (Finn's class did a interpretive song with scarves!), a rap that involved sunglasses and the last song was a light show (to which Finn stuck his light IN his ear...of course!).

It was just wonderful to watch and at the end, the teachers said some really nice words that, of course, made me cry! They basically said that no matter what, these kids will always be in their hearts and they'll always be there for them. Awwww...
