Nearly half a million babies (1 in 10) are born premature in the US each year which is higher than that of most other developed nations. This is the journeys of our first born son, Finnegan, who was born 14 weeks early and weighed only 1 pound 15 ounces at birth. Of our daugher, Korrigan, who was born a healthy 7 pounds, 7 ounces at 37 weeks. And of our second son, MacKeegan, who was also born at 37 weeks at a whopping 8 pounds, 13 ounces. Our continued adventures reminds us daily how good God is.

Where have they gone?

Jim and I are kid-less for TEN DAYS!!! They left yesterday (thanks Kels and NeNe for driving them!) for Oville for the weekend and then staying at my mom's for the week...while Jim and I are in CANCUN! We are really looking forward to some time away with just the two of us. Although, we have to say, it was really weird being home last night and today without kids. It is hard to explain, but made us think about what we did before kids...kind of seems insignificant. I guess kids just enrich our lives! We ran into Mike and Katie at the Gopher football game today and we were totally missing the kids and kind of attacked Quinn and Vince! I don't think they minded the extra attention too much. I really hope the kids are good for their care givers while we are gone (i.e. I hope Korri sleeps well at night!!). Thank you everybody for helping with them while we are away. It means a lot to know they are well taken care of and loved! Well, we are leaving at 4:30am tomorrow so should probably finish packing and hit the hay. Hasta luego! (I wish I'd brushed up on my Spanish before leaving ;) I know cerveza and bano, hopefully that will get us by for the most part!
