Nearly half a million babies (1 in 10) are born premature in the US each year which is higher than that of most other developed nations. This is the journeys of our first born son, Finnegan, who was born 14 weeks early and weighed only 1 pound 15 ounces at birth. Of our daugher, Korrigan, who was born a healthy 7 pounds, 7 ounces at 37 weeks. And of our second son, MacKeegan, who was also born at 37 weeks at a whopping 8 pounds, 13 ounces. Our continued adventures reminds us daily how good God is.

Girls Weekend

A group of us girls who graduated high school together (usually Holly, Heidi, Carlotta and I) have been getting together since 2013. We got together for lunch once before that, too, so its been awhile. While it can be difficult to coordinate schedules, once we find a time that works, we have a blast. This weekend was no exception.

Holly, Heidi and I met in Maple Grove and rode together (in Matt's diesel truck! Long story!!). We got to our hotel around 7:30pm and immediately when into relaxation mode (I'm not sure we ever got out of it all weekend!). Car got there a little later.

We did NOTHING all weekend but talk, drink, relax, talk, eat, talk, drink, shop and drink some more. We don't get together all that often (we TRY for twice a year but are lucky to all get together once a year) but it is like old times when we do. There is nothing like people who have known you through your chatty elementary days, awkward middle school days and bitchy (because we all had our moments!) high school days...and still CHOSE to love you and spend time with you.

I love you girls more than you know. Here's to the next time...may you all drink as much as I do this time :)

Watching me work out while eating starburst and m&m's!

Playing Games Against Humanity...of course!

Our annual attempt at listing (from memory) all 56 of our classmates. We cheated because Jim had our Junior yearbook available for questions and picture texts! Oh, well. We're old!!
We missed you, Laura :(
