Nearly half a million babies (1 in 10) are born premature in the US each year which is higher than that of most other developed nations. This is the journeys of our first born son, Finnegan, who was born 14 weeks early and weighed only 1 pound 15 ounces at birth. Of our daugher, Korrigan, who was born a healthy 7 pounds, 7 ounces at 37 weeks. And of our second son, MacKeegan, who was also born at 37 weeks at a whopping 8 pounds, 13 ounces. Our continued adventures reminds us daily how good God is.

I was secretly hoping that at least one of my three children would say "momma" first. But, alas, it wasn't meant to be. Mac started saying, "dadadada" yesterday. He is says it over and over and over again. I keep tell Jim that means Mac wants him! Ha, I should get SOME benefit from it. I mean, I give you food, baby. But...daddy plays! Oh, well.

I wonder what his first "real" word will be. Finn's was "Austin" and I can't remember Korri's and I didn't write it on the blog. Shame on me. I feel like it was bottle or eat or something like that.

Update: he started saying "momma" on 2/18, so it wasn't TOO far apart!
