Yesterday, once Finn finally got up, we headed over to the Arks for a play date. It had been a while! Finn loves playing over there because they have all the fun toys (and all the girls, too, I'm sure!!). We couldn't stay long because cousin Lauren was coming over to spend the night! Yay! We got a bit of snow yesterday (haven't seen any totals) and in the middle of it, the three of us headed to dintytown (part of the U of M campus) for waxing appointments! Yes, I said waxing. This whole experience was a first for me (the pregnant virgin...lol), and holy painful. But they said it is more painful when your pregnant (of course!), so hopefully next time...if there is a next time...it won't hurt as much. The results are great, though!
Then last night, we let Finn stay up late to watch some of the Vikings game. He was the cutest. We were eating pizza and he would stop and shake his hands in the air and yell, "Go, go, Vikings!" Other than the opening drive, the game was lack luster, but it was very cool to see the Vikings play a home game outside. Jim really wanted to go, but the whole ticket situation was a little wacky, so we watched it from our warm, comfy couch instead. Plus, Jim got to give Lauren Football 101 lessons, which he loved (duh...being the know-it-all on a subject!).
This morning, Jim, Finn and I FINALLY headed to Ridgedale mall to visit Santa. I really had no expectations and just wanted a picture. Finn knows "Santa" when he sees a picture and I told him he was going to sit on his lap. Finn actually did well...no crying... but no smiling either!
Finn's new favorite saying is, "What happened?" Which is not usually from the result of something good (like the broken necklace that just happened)...but really cute.
Nearly half a million babies (1 in 10) are born premature in the US each year which is higher than that of most other developed nations. This is the journeys of our first born son, Finnegan, who was born 14 weeks early and weighed only 1 pound 15 ounces at birth. Of our daugher, Korrigan, who was born a healthy 7 pounds, 7 ounces at 37 weeks. And of our second son, MacKeegan, who was also born at 37 weeks at a whopping 8 pounds, 13 ounces. Our continued adventures reminds us daily how good God is.
